Made in Japan Operating principle: Non-firing model gun, can cycle cartridges and eject empty clip like real M1 Garand Availability: In stock, new
Despite M1 Garand's technological advantage in field of semiautoamatic rifles and the unmatched value it presented to Allied forces in WWII it had came into production already on 1936. M1 Garand was a effective combat rifle chambered to .30-06 rifle cartridge that could engage targets effectively up to 400 meters. The M1 was the first semiautomatic rifle to be the standard small arm of the US Military, and the first semiautomatic rifle to be adopted by a major military power. Perhaps the most distinquished feature of M1 was it's 8-round stripper clip that gave unique sound when ejected after last round was shot. This model gun is manufactured by Hudson. It features fully functional full metal and real wood construction giving it unmatched realistic appearance. Fully field strippable, same takedown procedure as in real M1 Garand. As this is dummy model gun it cannot be fired like PFC model guns. Used models pricing starts from $700.

These model guns cannot shoot projectiles and will only cycle dummy ammunition or fire plug fire cartridges that create movie-like muzzle flash and firing smoke while empty shell is ejected (yes, there is recoil!). No projectile of any sort is fired, so these model guns are used primarily for display, recreational or movie propping purposes. You can recognize plug fire guns from operating principle explanations. How does plug fire cartridge model guns fire? First of all from this image you can see one example of the PFC cartridges (9mm Parabellum replicas) that take 7mm caps inside. These rounds are loaded in the magazine like the real thing.
After loading the result of pulling the trigger is…. Firing, normal camera shot
 “Dramatized” commercial shot
