Tanaka’s Mauser Kar 98k has a detachable magazine that is released with a release catch (located in the trigger guard just behind the trigger), which is different than Marushin’s Kar 98k. The gas tank is located inside the magazine instead of the rifle main body. Tanaka Mauser Kar 98k gas rifle also has an adjustable hop up and sights.
